Staying Grounded in 2024
So we are here, now how to stay grounded...

So the start of a new year and new season is always a good reminder to implement some new Self-Care rituals, to become more GROUNDED, CENTRED, and WHOLE.

When we are more grounded, whole and aligned, we can re-charge, re-energise, grow, heal, elevate and move forward with ease. When we are centred, we can connect with love and compassion, and when we are whole, we feel alive again.  So our theme for this month is focused on how we can ground ourselves, to be the best version of ourselves and to fully embody how remarkable we truly are and can be.  Below we will be sharing some tips or exercises you can implement to connect to yourself and others by being more grounded, centred and whole. Let us know which one's your favourite.

Tips for a Staying Grounded, Centred & Whole:

Becoming Grounded, Centred and Whole is all about making small daily self-care rituals that become a part of your life. 

We can practice this in different ways, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Physical: 

• Press your bare hands into the grass or the earth

• Walking bare feet on the grass or the earth

• Spending time in Nature

• Swimming in a lake, the sea, ocean or river          

• Hugging a tree

• Moving your Body through dance, exercise or yoga

• Gardening, getting your hands dirty in the soil

• Nourishing your temple with real food

Mental:

• Meditation

• Breathwork

• Journaling

• Reading

• Having a mentor or coach

• Listening to Podcasts

• Learning new things/hobbies

• Ice-baths - cold therapy

Spiritual:

• Self-Love

• Reiki

• Meditation

• Connection to others/community

• Being of service

• Speaking your truth

• Sound therapy

• Hypnotherapy

• Connecting to your intuition

So with an abundance of Garlic & Basil, we are sharing our #plantbased Basil Pesto - it's great as a spread on sandwiches, in salads, pastas, with meats, poultry or fish and with baked veggies...

 

Ingredients & Directions for our Plant Based, Basil Pesto:

Ingredients

1 full cup fresh organic basil 

1/2 cup organic pine-nuts

Juice of half lemon

1 clove garlic (or 2 cloves if you love garlic)

1/2-1 tsp pink salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil 

1 tbsp nutritional yeast (adds a cheese like taste)

Directions:

Blend it all in your blender or food processor and your ready to go - enjoy. If you have extra ingredients, double up and keep some extra in the fridge for next time.
