New Month Tune in
How often do you tune in...

As we begin a new month, season or week, its important to tune in with yourself. And what we mean by tuning in is this: we are talking about checking in with all that you have seen, felt, heard, learned, unlearned, witnessed and so on.  When we tune in, through stillness we allow our thoughts to drift and connect to our heart space, the space of intuition and awareness.

When we tune in we allow our nervous system to calm down, we feel safe, we lean into self-love, self-compassion, self-forgiveness and we have full acceptance of all that we are.

Some ways that you can Tune in:

Remember that this list is by no means exhaustive, and they are suggestions on ways to tune in to your heart.

• Take some deep breaths, hold for 4 seconds and release for 4 seconds; continue until you feel calm

• Still Your Mind and allow yourself to tune in without guilt - make time to tune in and be present with it

• Replace Judgement with Compassion with all encounters, it feels better and is better for the soul

• Lean into Self-forgiveness; it's ok to make mistakes or not set the right boundaries, go on forgive yourself

• Reflect on what you enjoyed this week, month or day; and keep that enjoyment and fulfilment alive always

• Ask yourself what you can celebrate; all the wins, the laughs, the fun, the little things that made you smile

• Take note of what you may need to leave behind from this week, month or day; and repeat.

The more you get into the habit of tuning in to your heart and tuning out of the "noise" the better you will feel.

Remember our quote: "The Mind thinks, but the Heart knows". Make it your mantra.

Now to some FOOD & RECIPE sharing.

Our Recipe of the Month features our #organicallygrown Herbs from the Farm #kitchengarden - it's another savoury dish that you can enjoy any season. We do hope you like them.

Today we are sharing our 100% plant based Quinoa & Herb Falafel Patties, made with organic ingredients and wholefoods. Please do share your re- creations with us on our socials to let us know that you have enjoyed them and remember to share with your family and friends. Because Sharing is caring right? 

 

These Quinoa & Herb Falafel Patties are great for school or work lunches, picnics, mid-week dinners and even your next dinner party entertaining friends.

Ingredients & Directions for our Plant Based, Quinoa & Herb Falafel Patties

Makes 16 Falafels Patties


2 cups per-cooked quinoa (totally cold)
1 cup pre-soaked & crushed chickpeas
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 cups freshly chopped herbs (we used flat leaf parsley, mint & coriander/cilantro)
1 large onion grated
Olive oil for drizzle before baking in oven

Simply blitz chickpeas separately and then add quinoa, grated onion, herbs, seasoning, flaxseed meal and mix all items together. Should be a little sticky – make patties into desired size and place them on lined baking tray (in a pre-heated oven to 240 degrees – needs to be really hot) drizzle olive oil to Falafels and place in oven to bake, turning over half way and drizzle again so other side also bakes evenly – keep turning over as they are cooking to ensure you get a crispy shell.

Remove and then serve with your fav dipping sauce and salad.
