Nothing beats a good #homemade #hummus right? Especially when it’s made with love and loads of wholesome #organic ingredients…
I made this a couple of weeks ago and have probably shared my recipe before but since it was such a pretty picture with all the beautiful seasonal #pomegranate I used as a garnish I wanted to share it again and inspire you to make your own too! By the way these delicious little gems were from my mother-in-laws tree, we have been lucky to eat so many this season as her tree produced many gifts for us all…
Anyway back to the hummus – so all you need is a handful of ingredients and a good blender, I love my Vitamix for this it blends it smooth and creamy every time.
Let me know how this recipe goes and if you make it please share and use my #vitalityandmore hashtag especially on Instagram so I can share your version!
Here’s my version, as you know my preference is to use organic but you can use conventional if that’s all you have.
Recipe for #vitalitandmore Hummus:
500 grams chickpeas
200 grams hulled tahini
1 tbsp salt
100 ml filtered water
1 small clove garlic
Juice of 3 lemons
½ tsp chili flakes
½ tsp cumin
¼ cup olive oil (Plus extra to garnish)
Handful of fresh pomegranate to decorate
1 tsp sumac to garnish
1 tsp dukkah to garnish
Handful fresh chopped continental parsley to garnish
Now this quantity makes a small bowl, I made double the quantity as we have a bigger extended family to feed…also if you like more or less salt or chili feel free to adjust to your tastebuds.
Have a great Wednesday everyone xx
