So you all remember my broad bean picking adventure the other week on the farm direct from the organic growers Fentonhill Organic Farm ? Since that day we’ve been having broad bean on the menu in salad, adding it to pastas and yes I made a broad bean hummus, perfect for your share platters this summer.
To make this all you need to do is:
Blend in your food processor or Vitamix
1 cup cooked & shelled broad beans
2 generous tbsp of hulled organic tahini
4 tbsp fresh lemon juice
a good drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (and extra at the end to garnish, we love our olive oil)
1/2 tsp salt
Garnish with fresh homegrown mint finely chipped, chili flakes and black sesame, it’s delicious and I paired it with some organic Mountain Bread wraps or you can enjoy with your favorite bread sticks or crackers.
So what’s your favorite hummus blend???
